How much tile you need for a 2×2.5 m bathroom
A 2×2.5 m bathroom has 20.7 m² of walls excluding the door and 5 m² of floor. Below is how much tile each surface takes.
Walls
Net area 20.7 m² (22.5 − 1.8) × (1 + 10%) = 22.77 m² ÷ 0.18 m² per tile = 127 pcs. Adhesive: 20.7 m² × 4 kg/m² (8 mm notch) = 83 kg. Grout ≈ 0.5 kg/m² = 10.4 kg. The 10% reserve applies to tiles only (for trimming); adhesive and grout are by net area.
Floor
Net area 5 m² (5 − 0) × (1 + 10%) = 5.5 m² ÷ 0.09 m² per tile = 62 pcs. Adhesive: 5 m² × 4 kg/m² (8 mm notch) = 20 kg. Grout ≈ 0.5 kg/m² = 2.5 kg. The 10% reserve applies to tiles only (for trimming); adhesive and grout are by net area.
