How much tile you need for a 2×2 m bathroom
A 2×2 m bathroom has 18.2 m² of walls excluding the door and 4 m² of floor. Below is how much tile each surface takes.
Walls
Net area 18.2 m² (20 − 1.8) × (1 + 10%) = 20.02 m² ÷ 0.18 m² per tile = 112 pcs. Adhesive: 18.2 m² × 4 kg/m² (8 mm notch) = 73 kg. Grout ≈ 0.5 kg/m² = 9.1 kg. The 10% reserve applies to tiles only (for trimming); adhesive and grout are by net area.
Floor
Net area 4 m² (4 − 0) × (1 + 10%) = 4.4 m² ÷ 0.09 m² per tile = 49 pcs. Adhesive: 4 m² × 4 kg/m² (8 mm notch) = 16 kg. Grout ≈ 0.5 kg/m² = 2 kg. The 10% reserve applies to tiles only (for trimming); adhesive and grout are by net area.
Use tiles from one batch (the batch/shade is printed on the pack) — otherwise the colour difference shows on the wall.
